Depressed!

Another absence from updating. I am living yet another one of my biggest nightmares. Reason...I am completely mad at myself and depressed. The other day I got on my computer and it was working fine. That same night when we got home, Brian asked me if I had been on the computer that day. I told him that I had and it had been slow but working fine. Well, turns out our whole computer had to bust. I was sick inside. Brian took it in yesterday and they said it could be one of three things. It could be a software problem that would cost about $79 to fix, another type of software problem that would cost about $120, or a hardware problem that could cost approximately $1200! Well of course they call up later and give us the bad news. It would be the hardware problem. Where in the heck are we supposed to come up with this money? They would replace the hardware for free but here's the catch. We would lose all of the stuff stored on there. Who gives a crap about anything on there except my son's first 2 years of life in pictures! I have never cried so hard in my life, seriously! Hayden thought it was quite hilarious at first and then he caught on that it was no laughing matter. He kept looking at me, cuddling me, and then asked, "hug?" Pretty sad, I know, but what's even sadder is that even with paying the money, there is no guarantee. I feel like the biggest loser of a mom. I haven't printed hardly any pictures since Hayden was like 4 months old. I can't believe that in such a short period of time, I could lose so much. Photography is like my life! So, such a loss and I am nothing but down in the dumps!

Daybreak Life

It's been a lot of fun out here since we have had nicer weather. We are really starting to enjoy all Daybreak has to offer! The Lake is awesome. It is so pretty. We haven't gone out on a canoe yet, but we take several walks around it, let Hayden throw rocks off the dock, and take the dog for regular swims. Kobe is a natural when it comes to the doggy paddle. He enjoys his neighbor friends, Tugsley & Marley, to join him
There are a ton of parks out here. There is one particular that is specifically built for Toddlers. This past week MaryAnn and Cooper joined us and we took a picnic to the park and let the boys knock themselves out!
I love this picture of the boys. They have a blast together. They were both cracking up at each other.

Father Son Moments

Hayden imitates everything that his Daddy does. This particular night Brian was just watching the dog and folding his arms while leaning up against the wall and Hayden watched and copied every move.

We took Hayden to Wheeler Farm again the other day. We love that place because it is free, close to Brian's work, and Hayden absolutely loves the "aamals". Brian needed a break from work so we kidnapped him and headed to the farm. These pictures are from the secretive back part of Wheeler Farm. It's absolutely beautiful back there and it doesn't have the horrible stench that the rest of the place does.

I think it's time!

So I have been waiting to tell the world about my news for good reason. I am pregnant for the third time since Hayden and I think this one's a keeper. I guess what they say is true, third time's a charm! For those who don't know my history, I miscarried when I was about 7 weeks along the first time and then the second time I had what is called a blighted ovum. I was carrying a sac with no baby, but my body didn't register that there was no baby. I was very sick which made me think things were okay until an ultrasound at about 8 weeks confirmed that nothing was there. I then had to abort the sac at 9 weeks. That was something I hope to never do again. Especially since I experienced labor and a side effect of the pill was "death to mother." I have had a couple disappointments and am just so relieved that all is going well so far. I am almost 12 weeks along so it's pretty safe to spread the news. I have had about 3 ultrasounds by now and have seen the heartbeat all three times so I am extremely happy about that. I have still been extremely nervous about every little thing which makes me think I can't do the pregnancy thing too many more times. I have gone through several mixed emotions over the past few months and feel extremely blessed to be able to carry another baby. I have been less sick than I was with Hayden which makes us think that maybe we are having a girl! It is just hard to say one or the other because of course I want one of each so I don't have to worry if I'll ever get my girl, but we already have so much boy stuff. This pregnancy I have been put on progesterone which is not a cheap pill. Luckily, I will only be on that through week 12 and then I will have to take a baby aspirin throughout the whole pregnancy. I just hope and pray that all goes okay. I have had to learn a lot through this experience and it was hard to not just give up and throw in the towel!

It's a bird, it's a fish, it's a ?

So I just had to record this somewhere, so sorry to those of you who think this may be gross. It is super hilarious though. Hayden has been taking these hour long baths lately. We both take a shower and then I fill the tub up for him to play while I get ready. He has been loving the tub and will stay in there forever. Well, yesterday, I decided to fold my laundry, make my bed, and get ready all in my bedroom where I could still watch him. I kept asking him, "do you want to get out?" That followed with a for sure, "NOOOOOOO!" So, I kept on doing my thing until I started to get hungry and then I said, "okay, let's get out now." He of course did not want to but then started shouting, "mom, mom, a fish!" "A fish," I asked. Well, I kept walking toward him and he seemed hesitant but kept shouting, "fish," while holding something up for me to see. Well, upon closer examination, it was no brown trout. It was in fact, a tiny piece of poo! Ugghhhhh! I thought I had put enough toys in there to entertain him ! Well, needless to say, we cleaned him up again and luckily that was the only thing he let creep into the tub. I had to laugh because I think he was smart enough to know that I wouldn't be happy about it and he had to convince me it was something else! Funny kid! Oh, and luckily for all of you, this post doesn't contain any pictures.

What we've been up to!

So it has been an awful long time since I posted anything new. I can't believe I left the ugly picture of myself for so long, be the first thing you see when you visit my blog! I apologize. We have been pretty busy lately. The past two weekends have been spent out of town. Two weekends ago Brian went to California for business and I headed down to St. George with my parents and brother. It was a blast and I was often reminded by Trenton's attitude of my horrible teenage years and how I made some of my family vacations hell for the rest of the family. I love you Trenton, and although it's annoying, I've been there. Last weekend we headed down to the good old town of Logandell. Our friends, the Kitchens, have a house down there and invited us down for the weekend. We traveled down with the Gardners and we all had a good time.
We drove to the Kitchen's ranch and played with the baby goats. Hayden loved it.
Hayden kept saying, "here you go buddy," while he fed them hay.
Hayden wasn't scared a bit. The goats were more afraid of him.
Hayden loved the four wheelers just as much as the big boys. He thought it was quite a thrill to ride the "cycle".
Here's the "Godfather" giving Hayden another ride. Hayden loves his "Teve".
Some good looking boys!
Chris, Jaydon, Hayden, and Brian jumping on the trampoline.
We spent one day at Lake Mead. It was so awesome. There were like three people on the lake and we had the best beach ever. Hayden even loved wearing his life jacket. I hope it lasts for Lake Powell. Hayden is obsessed with "simming".
My cute babe made this for me on the beach.
Hayden and Bri burying Steve in the sand.
Hayden got buried too. You would think that he would have hated it but he wouldn't let us pull him out until I insisted on slathering him up with more sunscreen.
We stopped in at some natural springs for some swimming after the visit to the ranch. It was pretty sweet. The guppies would nip at your legs which tickled like crazy.
Father and son.
More candid moments at the springs.
We went into Vegas one night and although I suggested that we go purchase a cheap stroller, Brian assured me that he would do all the carrying. Well, I knew exactly what would happen. Sure enough, Brian went to ride the stratospher with half the group and Steve, Kacey, Hayden, and I headed to the Coca Cola factory and the M&M factory. Thank heavens for Steve and Kacey who helped lighten the load. We also visited the MGM and saw the lion exhibit. Hayden had everyone laughing when Steve put his head right up to the lions and he said, "Yion, BIIIIIIIIGGGGGG!"
This is our other little get away to St. George. My mom has most of the pictures on her camera. I only have these two. Hayden is way into wearing big shoes. These happen to be his Papa's.
Awwwww! Nothing is cuter than this!
