He's Here!

For all those anxiously awaiting some pics of the new man in my life, here they are. Teagan was born on Monday November 24, 2008 at 6:58 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. Not too far off from his brother who was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. I have to laugh at all who told me the second was easier. Yes, there were parts that were, but who would have known that the epideral wouldn't work and I would go from a 6 to 10 in about 2 minutes! Crazy but such an awesome experience nonetheless. I am so in love with him and surprisingly enough, so is Hayden. He has been so cute with his brother. I will do some longer posts with more pictures later. I have been a little bit busy!

Last night as a family of three!

So I have several emotions going through my head right now but mostly just excited to become a mother to two and a family of four. I can't believe it came so fast and I am just so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a mom. I am scheduled to be induced tomorrow but we haven't been given a time yet. I will await the call from 5 am on in the morning. We'll keep everyone updated!

Baby Celebration!

Some friends and I have started doing a little tradition of going to dinner, having dessert, and giving gifts in celebration of a second baby. It's basically a "shower" but us Utahn's aren't so big on the whole second child shower thing. This has been fun and really is a great excuse just to get together. Last night was my big night. I was so excited all day and it was such a blast! I have some really fun, cute, and generous friends. We all met at Training Table for some delicious dinner (aka: cheese fries) and then went to Kacey's and had some scrumptious trifle dessert that Keri made. I received some awesome gifts as well. I am so lucky! We stayed out WAY late. I know Steve tried to kick us out a couple times but hey, most of us had no children and were enjoying the company. Thank you ladies.
At double T. I believe all our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We ordered a TON of cheese fries and they didn't all get eaten. Of course, look at my plate, sandwich gone and MOST of the fries gone too! I better get this child out of me before my appetite grows any heftier.MaryAnn and Rosemary. Don't worry Rosie, your boyfriend will be arriving in 5 short days, hopefully!
Chillin at the Gardner residence. Always a good party place. Just take note that most get togethers have been here lately. I am so appreciative. There is only 4 houses in between our houses and lately, stays a little cleaner. Thank you Kacey for being at least 5 weeks behind me!
I know MaryAnn will not love that this is the picture I chose because she wasn't ready, but I have to get Landon in there. He is way too cute! All the gals except the one's who couldn't make it (obviously). Also, Kim had to leave after dinner. We missed you for dessert! Four of us are prego, can ya tell! Yeah, there is usually a lot of estrogen and hormomes in the room at these little things.

Silly ol' widget!

So I was just looking at that silly widget on the side of my blog and thinking, "oh, yeah right." For those of you out there who have never been pregnant, the baby does not peacefully float around in circles all day. In fact, today, my little guy has been jammed up my ribs on the right side for hours and hours now! They sit on all your organs and once in awhile give you a good old kick to remind you they are still in there. I do love the kicks, however, the rib thing is really painful right now. So one week from today hopefully. I can't believe it!

8 Days To Go

We're almost ready! We got the nursery painted and put together this week and organized some of the toys and clothes and stuff. (Well, I should say Robyn organized some of the toys and clothes) She is scheduled for an induction on Monday, a week from tomorrow. But there are a few things that have to happen in order for us to be induced. Hopefully all goes as planned and we can have the little guy on Monday.

We'll see!!!

It wasn't me!

So now that both my husband and child have matching battle wounds, I would like to put a disclaimer out there that I don't hurt my family. Hayden's accident has already been posted about and Brian's happened on Saturday night during a basketball tournament. Man these sports can get out of hand. He got poked/scratched (he wasn't too sure what happened) as well as injuring his knee. It has been pretty embarrassing to be in public with these two. My mom told me, "it wouldn't be too far fetched to say you did it, you are 9 months pregnant!" HaHa! I love my boys too much but it makes for a good story if I need one!

Ouch!

My poor little Hayden had quite the fall yesterday. He was trying to climb a rod iron chair in Rich's Bagels and the climb didn't turn out so well. We heard a smack on the hard floor and looked over and saw the chair on top of Hayden. My friend, not being pregnant, ran over to the rescue as I waddled behind. When we pulled the chair off of him, his eyebrow was bleeding bad. We tried as best as we could to keep napkins on it while he screamed and tried to pull our hands away. It finally stopped and asked opinions as to whether I should take him to get stitches. We decided it was fine for the moment. I kept him awake for a couple hours because he had a double smack to the head and didn't want him to have a concussion. It wasn't easy as it was nap time. After awhile I decided to take him to my mom's work for several other opinions. I finally decided to take him to his pediatricians office to get some expert advice. His pediatrician was not in that day but I had a couple of nurses and a couple of doctors look at it. They told me the only way to get it stitched up would be to take him to Primary's and have them papoose him and sedate him. I was not up for that and knew Hayden wasn't either. They told me no matter what, it would scar so the only benefit to stitches would be less scarring and less risk of infection. We finally made a decision to have the doctor clean in up and glue it together there in the office. Hayden of course hated the idea, but it worked. I feel good about what they did, but terrible about the whole incident.

Hayden saw a man there at the office who pretended to be Santa. We saw him on the way in and on the way out. He was very sweet to Hayden and after we left he said, "Bye Santa Claus!" He then told me that Santa "feel better." I am not quite sure whether he was trying to tell me that Santa made him feel better or that he was at the hospital to feel better. Either way it was cute. He also told me, "Don't yike that one," as he pointed to the building while I was putting him in the car. "Check baby brother one!" He was telling me that he much preferred the doctor's office that mommy goes to to check on brother. Too funny.

As for that update, I am 19 days away from induction but I have made no progress as far as my cervix. The doctor reviewed my notes from Hayden and said that it wasn't until next weeks visit with him that I was even doing anything. I am still not too worried, just slightly disappointed.

Halloween 2008

Halloween was pretty fun this year. We enjoyed lots of different festivities. Hayden was not so in love with the whole "Halloween Scene", but enjoyed dressing up. He made the cutest little cowboy ever. I still need a video of him saying cowboy and telling me what they say.
Here he is on Halloween night right before we headed out trick-or-treating. It was nice trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. The houses in our little area are pretty close together which made it go quick. Only problem, lots of people are young like us and probably headed to the Grandparents. Lot's of non-homers. Hayden was very controlled while picking candy. He would nicely take one and when told he could take more, he usually wouldn't. I, as the mom and pregnant lady, was a bit disappointed.
This was the night of my parents trunk-or-treat. This was the first one I had every been to and I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Hayden was overwhelmed with the fact people were freely handing over a bunch of candy but finally got the hang of it.
Had to get a full body shot in here. He didn't love the boots. He says they hurt his feet. He definitely has Lund feet. He wouldn't walk a whole lot in them but I didn't have to carry him once while trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood.
Here we are carving pumpkins as a family night activity. We had the Scotts and Gardners over. We ended up with some pretty cool jack-o-lanterns.
Of course everyone living in Daybreak has the pumpkin patch pictures. We of course, chose to go on the coldest day in October. We didn't spend long there but had to take our photo opportunities seriously.
Hayden did like sitting on the tractors.
I look awkward but we don't get many family pictures so here it is.And here we are really getting our pumpkins. Let's just say they were significantly cheaper here at...
