Last but not least... Did Hayden get breakfast?

I have done a lot of blogging today. Sorry for the delay. It's been a week today since I last updated. Almost unacceptable in the blogging world! It may take you a whole week to read all the new posts :) Yesterday, I found Hayden in this form. He had woken up extremely early yesterday and I was still so tired that I gave him a sedative (bottle of warm milk) to go back to sleep. We fell back asleep on the couch and when we woke up, he wanted to watch "Blue" (Blue's Clues). I headed upstairs to get things done and thought I would go down in a little while to feed him breakfast, since he had a huge bottle not to long before. I heard him climbing the stairs with something and this is what he had. He had opened them himself. "Mmmmm, good," as Hayden would say!
Who could get mad at this face?

Easter at Grandma & Grandpa's

Hayden got to find the eggs we dyed the weekend before Easter. He enjoyed it thoroughly because this time, he already knew what to do. He was so fun to watch. He kept wanted "moe eggs". He was also very upset at the end when there was not an official "spot" in the container for the 19th egg. He may be a perfectionist.
Thanks Trevor for being the official "egg holder."
Grandma and Grandpa had the Easter Bunny visit their house too. His basket had the movie "Toy Story" in it along with a Buzz flip phone and candy. Buzz is the new obsession!
Hello, is anyone there? Easter was very fun this year. It came a little too soon, but it is still nice to know that Spring is officially here! On Sunday we were also able to go visit Brian's dad. Sorry there are no pictures, due to the fact he wasn't dressed! Ahhhh! I wish I had known him when he was healthy and for that matter, I wish Brian did too. We felt so sorry for him. It is so sad the trials we have to go through in this life. Especially when we have no control over them. Easter is a perfect time to think about how it won't always have to be this way.

Easter Sunday

He looked so cute in his outfit. Unfortunately, we didn't get the classic front porch pictures taken before church because it started at 9:00 and after church he smeared chocolate on his vest. Oh well, I was planning on taking pictures in his outfit at a later date anyways.
The Easter Bunny visited our house after church and brought Hayden lots of goodies!
High five...or not.
Hayden grinning over his Shrek bubbles.
Just one pair of cute little feet!

Easter Egg Hunt

Our sweet neighbors across the street had an Easter egg hunt at their house on Saturday. Luckily we didn't have to deal with the insane crowds of the city egg hunts. I remember those as a kid. It was life or death, survival of the fittest. This was a little more relaxing. It took awhile to catch on, but he did. He also caught on to the fact that because he is so cute and so spoiled, if he would point at the egg and say "egg", then one of his parents would come to the rescue and pick it up for him.
Here he finally decided to do the work and bend over.
Hayden and his Daddy.
Hayden enjoying his loot. He loved the candy but thought it was even more fun to spit jelly beans out on the tile and watch them stick. He is big into spitting right now. Could he be turning two soon? Something funny, last night Hayden was out riding his power wheels down the side walk when he spotted the neighbors out playing ball, first he wanted to go play ball with them and then he shouted, "egg, find!" He had remembered that we had done the egg hunt there Saturday. What a smartie!

Burrowing Beaver!

Burrowing brings Hayden much joy these days. It seems to happen most when we are in bed ready to fall asleep, (since we moved, at night, he has to fall asleep in our bed and be moved to his own) when he insists that he burrow under all the pillows. If we just ignore him, he will scream "mine" so you will give up your pillow. He also will make you move if you are in his "burrowing" spot on the couch. He will entertain him self for an hour or so just doing this. He is one funny kid!

Coloring Easter Eggs

On Sunday we dyed easter eggs as a family. Hayden is so lucky to have the Grandma he has because she bought a special Shrek easter egg coloring kit. He was so excited. Hayden thoroughly enjoyed himself.Hayden would drop the "ebb" in the mug and stir it around for a bit, then he would grab it with his hand, dab it with paper towel and then say "mom, ebb." That meant he was ready for another one.
The whole family continuing the egg dying tradition.
Hayden with his "Puss in Boots" egg. He was very proud of his work.
Stirring another "ebb"
I was the joke of the evening. Apparently my butt was showing the whole night we dyed eggs. So who do you think would make such an egg? No, not my bro, MY MOM! Trenton did make an egg with my butt on it as well that said my butt was fine (ha ha), but this seemed more appropriate.

Soul Mate, Play Date!

Hayden had a play date last week with a new friend named Emma. Emma and Hayden are sooooo much alike. When we showed up to their house, Hayden immediately found Shrek ears in Emma's room. We also saw that Emma owned a Shrek chair and other memorabilia. Can you say Soul Mates?
I love Emma's face in this one. What a cutie!
Silly children, play dates are for mom's too! I love getting out and chatting with other adults. I especially love letting Hayden play and getting a little break for myself. I met Kim off of Kacey's blog. Yes, I blog stalked her. She had Kacey and I over for lunch and a play date. It was a blast. Kim is very sweet and I am glad we got to meet her and Emma in person.

Spring!

Well, spring is about here. We have been having some beautiful weather in the 50's and I couldn't be more excited. Yesterday, MaryAnn and I, decided to have a barbeque when the boys got off work. It was so nice. While Mary and I got the stuff ready, Brian took Cooper and Hayden to the park and then to swing in the backyard. Ryan joined later after filling up the propane tank. It was so nice to have some warmer weather and have the light, later. We have not adopted Cooper, it's just that most of our pictures of Hayden have Coop in them. They are just so cute together and they spend a lot of time together. It helps us moms keep our sanity!

Nude Dude!

I know, moms can be so ruthless when it comes to pictures sometimes. I will just have to ask for Hayden's forgiveness in the future because I just have to share naked pictures sometimes. Don't worry, I'll only post pictures of my children and I am careful to leave out the "details". We all know a picture of Brian on the bed with just a hat on is just not "cute". There is just a whole lot more toddlers can get away with. These pics are of Hayden just out of the tub. I went to get lotion or a diaper or something and I found him like this...

St George

So it was time for a good ol' vacation. I was getting so depressed with this crappy cold weather and Hayden has been grouchy and sick. We needed to get away and to somewhere warm and a place Brian could not get lost. We went down with the Scott's to stay in Mary's family's townhouse. We had a blast and the little boys were so good. I was NOT ready to come home! We pulled into Salt Lake wearing our summer attire and boy was it freezing. Stupid winter! I am a winter person only in the month of December. Here the BIG boys are on the race track. The ride was "cut short" because Brian didn't want to obey the rules. "Ramming people is what you're supposed to do," he says!
Just Chillin'
Cooper wasn't enjoying his relaxation time quite as much as Hayden.
Ahhh, what could be better than a little snooze after a hard hour of Blue's Clues?
Here we are eating at the classic Pizza Factory.
Watching Blue's Clues again! My son has a few obsession issues.
Pregnant and waiting to eat, what else can be said?
Shopping at Old Navy. At least the boys can find a way to entertain themselves and the rest of the people in the stores.
Another picture of us having a good old time at Fiesta Fun! Of course I didn't go on vacation, I was the invisible photographer. "What the Heck is that all about!" At least I was able to make it into the Pizza Factory Photos, Yes!
The boys hated the tub on the trip. They usually don't mind bathing. I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to sit in a tub with your friend soaking up each other's filth?
Just a cute picture.
This was funny because while Mary and I were talking to each other I looked over and this is how I found him. I wondered, "why is he doing that," and then I realized that both Mary and I were shading our eyes while we talked. Monkey see, monkey do!
Cooper was finally happy and ready to say "Cheese." Thank heaven for Motrin!
Do we have ourselves a pair of couch potatoes or what?
